We present so many questions to God that start with a “Why?” We don’t seem to question the good nearly as often as we do the difficult. It seems that our life has seasons and cycles just as Ecclesiastes states:

“For everything there is a season and a time for every purpose under Heaven.” Ecc 3:1

Spring often represents a cycle of new life. Summer represents a time of growth and play. Fall can represent a cycle of slowing down and letting go, just as the trees slow down and let go of their leaves. How beautiful and colorful the letting go can be, especially when forgiveness is involved. Winter may represent a difficult or dormant time in our life. A time that forces us to stop and rest. It can be hard to see the purpose in our trials, but we have the reassurance that God will use it for good and to help mold us into the character He wants us to be. Even the coldest of winter days has some beauty, if we are willing to see it.
