Isn't the transition from a catapiller to a butterfly a beautiful mystery? Yet it is such a good representation of our transition or resurrection into the next life. In this world we appear dead, but we instead emerge with Christ a new creation. We can look forward to leaving behind our "old flesh", along with it's aches, pains and struggles, and transition into a completely renewed and perfect new body. Hebrews 9:27 reminds us that this transition is appointed to happen only once.

"So whoever is in Christ is a new creation: the old things have passed away; behold, new things have come."   2 Corinthians 5:17

"So also is the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption. It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power. It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body."     1 Corinthians 15:42-44
